The focus is given on updated relations of point values from the project “post calculation” including methodically adjustments for accounting. For the outpatient sector a similar case group weighted model has been developed, which will be implemented step by step from 2017 to 2019.

New primary health care: 200 Mio. Euro for expansion
To release the pressure on hospitals the primary health care sector should be strengthened. Primary health care is a comprehensive and low-threshold integrated care by general practitioners and multi-professional teams. Benefits are the accessibility within short distance, extended opening hours without restricted operation in holiday seasons and beneficial cooperation of health professionals. In May 2016 the first primary health care centre was opened in Vienna. Experiences so far are positive and further rollout of the model will be accepted. Within the financial equalization scheme 200 Mio. Euro will be dedicated to the expansion.
